‘Accelerating Information’ theme sparked thoughtful discussions on strengthening information management & governance processes

Top 3 themes of this year’s ARMA Canada Information Conference
- AI continues to be topical for records management and information governance professionals. From the opening keynote, to our session titled “E-mail Records Management Excellence in the Age of AI,” the discussion around managing records and documents with the advent of AI in the enterprise was ever-present.
- Governance and security are grounding the AI discussions. In the several sessions we attended, the AI discussion was grounded in the fact that nothing should be done until you have proper information governance practices and information security protocols and tools in place. We discussed this in our session as well, highlighting the need to “build the foundation before the house goes up.” As one of our good partners put it, “we are seeing the convergence of IT and protection.”
- Records management systems are growing in importance. Whether it’s Microsoft Purview, Gimmal, or some of the other solutions available, records management systems leveraging Microsoft SharePoint at the core seem to be as topical as ever. At Colligo, we’re glad to partner with many of the various platforms and bring emails into the mix.
