With emails, Contributor automatically captures standard message fields and maps them to metadata in the document library. Custom metadata can be updated immediately with the Outlook Add-in. Content can be made available for online-only access or it can be cached locally for offline use. With offline mode, content is synchronized to an encrypted local data store - it is not stored in Outlook (.ost or .pst).
