Version 5.0 Supports the Latest Generation of Laptops and Operating Systems

Vancouver, BC, October 14, 2008 – Colligo Networks Inc., a leader in desktop collaboration solutions, today announced the release of Colligo Workgroup Edition 5.0 and Colligo Workgroup for Lotus Notes 5.0, its industry-leading ‘server free’ ad-hoc networking and database replication software products. Version 5.0 offers the most reliable and broadly available peer-to-peer collaboration and IBM Lotus Notes® replication technology and it supports the latest generation of laptops and operating systems.

The Workgroup Edition product line helps mobile teams equipped with wireless capable laptops to improve collaboration and productivity in any location by instantly creating secure local networks. Once connected, workgroups can transfer files, share folders, share a printer, collaborate on documents, chat, compare calendars, and more. With Workgroup for Lotus Notes, mobile professionals can instantly and securely replicate Lotus Notes databases directly between laptops without the need for a Domino® Server.

  • Lotus Notes 7 Replication* – Version 5.0 supports replication of Lotus Notes databases Versions 5 through Version 7. Mobile teams can now instantly and securely replicate Lotus Notes 7 databases directly between clients. *Colligo Workgroup for Lotus Notes is required.
  • Microsoft XP & Vista Support – Version 5.0 supports the latest Microsoft operating system releases, which feature significant upgrades in support for security and wireless technologies. Version 5.0 now supports Microsoft Vista Enterprise, Business, and Ultimate versions. Support for the Microsoft XP family has been extended to include the SP3 service pack.
  • Better Wireless Support with Vista – The wireless device card control was upgraded to use the Microsoft Wireless LAN API for increased reliability, compatibility, and interoperability with the latest generation of WiFi devices and wireless card control managers.
  • 2007 Calendar Sharing – Mobile teams using Microsoft Outlook 2007 can now share their calendars using Version 5.0, improving group planning and scheduling.
