Colligo Contributor™ is an easy-to-deploy
.NET client-only application - no server modifications are required. The installer package is
just 5 MB in size. Installed, it consumes roughly 11 MB of disk space, not including content. Colligo Contributor for SharePoint
is IT-department friendly. It supports customized installations and can

Installation & Configuration
EXE Installer - the simple installer package is an executable file.
It's key features follow:

- Automatically installs software prerequisites (downloaded from www.colligo.com)

MSI Installer -
Contributor also provides an MSI installer package, with these
features:
- Supports silent and interactive installs
- Does not install prerequisites - these must be downloaded and
pre-installed
- Customizable
By providing a customizable MSI installer package, Colligo make it easy for IT-teams to deploy Contributor throughout their organization using industry standard deployment tools such as MS-SMS. Simply customize the MSI database, deploy the pre-requisites, and deploy Contributor. Click here for

SharePoint Security & Privileges
Contributor accesses SharePoint through well documented web-services. You define the security policy on your SharePoint site
and the security defined in SharePoint is respected by the web-services.
So Contributor only provides your users with access to business
information based on their specific privileges. Contributor works with secure sites requiring http(s) connections.
Customize Synchronization Patterns to Your
Preferences
Contributor performs file-wise differential synchronization. Synchronization can be initialized by user-actions and/or
based on configured intervals. By customizing these settings, IT can set synchronization patterns to suit
their user needs and mobility profiles.

Simple User-centric Configuration
The options panel allows users to easily modify these configuration options:
- Prompt for properties when adding documents
- Storage Location
- Synchronize on startup
- Synchronize when list is viewed
- Synchronize when list is modified
- Enable background synchronization
- Background synchronization interval
IT can set default values for the options at install-time, or, post-install by pushing out registry settings. Further, IT can lock any of the configuration options, or disable access to the configuration panel altogether.

Configure the Contributor Cache
To provide offline access ,Contributor caches content on the user's computer. You can:
- Specify storage location path, including the use of system variables
like %userprofile%
- Index the storage using Windows Desktop Search (for XP) and
Instant Search (Vista)
- Encrypt the storage using Windows Encrypting File System to provide FIPS compliant encryption
Communications
Contributor uses only http(s) protocols for its communications - no special firewall configuration is required.
- Communication with SharePoint uses standard web-service
- Web-service calls all over the common http or http(s) protocols
- Web-proxy settings are configurable
- Users can work through WAN/VPN and/or Wireless connections

Central IT-teams can easily define required content for selection
- so Contributor can be deployed with multiple SharePoint sites
