Colligo Networks’ Genèse Castonguay Named
Finalist in 5th Annual Stevie® Awards For Women in Business
Stevie Award Winners to Be Announced in New York
Vancouver, BC, October 15, 2008 – Colligo Networks Inc., a leader in desktop collaboration solutions, today announced Genèse Castonguay, Vice President of Marketing was named a Finalist in the Best Canadian Executive category in the 5th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives,
entrepreneurs, and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have
been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” winners will be announced
during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York on Friday,
November 14. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and
several other countries are expected to attend.
More than 1,200 entries were submitted for consideration in 50 categories,
including Best Executive, Best Entrepreneur, and Best Community Involvement
Program.
Genèse contributed to a significant turnaround at Colligo Networks. She was
hired to lead marketing in July 2006, shortly after the launch of a new product
line. She quickly executed highly effective campaigns that earned significant
industry recognition - with awards such as “2008 Best of Tech Ed” and “Windows
IT Pro Editors Best” - and increased the marketing database from 3,000 to 30,000
contacts. Genèse also established the company’s inside sales team, achieving
238% year-over-year revenue growth and surpassing sales quota by 124%. Colligo
is now profitable and growing over 100% per year, due in large part to Genèse’s
dedication and drive.
“Genèse’s creativity and focus on marketing and sales strategies that deliver
measureable results have had a significant impact on Colligo Networks,” comments
Barry Jinks, President and CEO, Colligo Networks. “She is an integral part of
the senior management team, which has achieved tremendous success over the past
two years. We congratulate her on being selected as a finalist for the Best
Canadian Executive.”
Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary
judging. Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and
their staffs will select Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists during
final judging.
“Being named a Finalist in The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an
important achievement,” said Michael Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards.
“It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is
worthy of recognition. We congratulate all of the Finalists on their achievement
and wish them well in the competition.”
