Grant Thornton Expands International Deployment of Colligo Workgroup Edition

Canadian and Australian Firms Add Licenses to Those Already in Use by 51 Offices in US

Vancouver, BC, Toronto, ON -- September 22, 2004 - In the drive to increase productivity at one of the world's leading accounting, tax and business advisory organizations, Grant Thornton is expanding its deployment of Colligo® Workgroup Edition to its' international firms. Following the successful rollout of Colligo software in 2003 to its United States member firm, Grant Thornton Canada and Australia recently signed purchase agreements and have started distributing the software to their auditors. Colligo Networks' software helps solve nomadic workgroup inefficiencies by enabling team members to connect Windows®-based laptops, tablet PCs and handheld devices via ad-hoc (server-free) peer-to-peer wired or wireless networks and then share data and communicate electronically.

Grant Thornton utilizes Colligo Workgroup Edition to synchronize data efficiently and in a timely fashion between auditors that work at client sites. Prior to Colligo, auditors in the Canadian and Australian member firms had to set up their own networking hardware in the field or dial-up to their central email server to share information; a time-consuming process. With Colligo software, they can instantly share data over personal, secure, high-speed wireless networks created between their laptops, increasing productivity and reducing IT support costs.

"During the deployment of Colligo in 2003, Grant Thornton U.S. had the opportunity to fully evaluate Colligo Workgroup Edition through two audit seasons," commented Rick Wood, Audit Partner and National Director of IT at Grant Thornton Canada. "Based on the success of the deployment and based on our own field testing, we believe Colligo will prove to be beneficial to not only our mobile audit teams, but also to our clients."

Simon Hancox, Partner, Assurance Services at Grant Thornton Australia added, "We were surprised at how easy Colligo was to deploy. Because of the minimal training requirements and compatibility with our standard wireless laptops, our auditors have been able to derive immediate benefits from the software."

"In today's highly scrutinized audit environments, it is of utmost importance that auditors can guarantee data security and independence," says Barry Jinks, President and CEO of Colligo Networks. "We continue to work hard to develop software that supports the auditor and their workflow while decreasing the burden on IT support organizations. We are pleased to see Grant Thornton experience these benefits."
