COLLIGO RECOGNIZED BY MICROSOFT FOR ITS DRIVE FOR INNOVATION
Colligo Showcased in Microsoft's "Innovation Starts Here" Brochure
Vancouver, BC, December 13, 2004 - As part of its initiative to enable innovation and accelerate the software ecosystem, The Microsoft Emerging Business Team has chosen Colligo Networks as one of 25 innovation partner companies featured in its "Innovation Starts Here" brochure. The brochure highlights companies that have been technically innovative in developing solutions with Microsoft technologies. Selected from emerging companies around the world, the innovators are privately-funded software companies who are recognized for their ability to fuse technical innovation with a clear business need or market opportunity to implement a viable solution.
Colligo Networks' software helps solve nomadic workgroup inefficiencies by enabling team members to connect Windows®-based laptops, tablet PCs and handheld devices via ad-hoc (server-free) peer-to-peer wired or wireless networks and then share data using Windows applications, arrange meetings via Outlook calendar, communicate electronically, via instant messaging or whiteboarding, and connect the entire team through one person's access to external resources, such as printers and the Internet. Colligo's upcoming Microsoft .NET Framework-based solution will extend their platform and integrate with enterprise systems, such as Microsoft Exchange® or Microsoft SharePoint®.
"We're very pleased to be picked by Microsoft for its 'Innovation Starts Here' brochure," comments Barry Jinks, President and CEO of Colligo Networks. "Every day tens of thousands of people use Colligo Workgroup Edition to be more productive and work more efficiently within teams. We hope this Microsoft initiative will help alert people to a new way of collaborating."
