The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend is impacting organizations of every size. To better understand the issues and concerns that organizations are currently facing, Colligo is participating with Osterman Research in a survey on the BYOD phenomenon. Colligo is back from a great trip to Australia and New Zealand, where we participated in the SharePoint conferences in both of countries, and completed many successful visits with customers, prospects and partners.

Our recent webinar, “The iPad Invasion: Leveraging SharePoint for Mobile Enterprise Security” was a huge success with nearly 3000 registrations from around the world. The Colligo team is heading down under! We’re really excited to be participating in some key events in New Zealand and Australia, namely the New Zealand SharePoint Conference and an executive luncheon hosted by our Australian partner, Sensory7, for public sector CIOs and records managers.

We are very happy to announce the availability of Version 5.2 of our industry-leading Colligo Email Manager. Version 5.2 includes several important new customer-driven features along with a number of performance enhancements throughout the application.

In a recent blog article, SharePoint MVP Dan Holmes discusses a very common issue that directly affects SharePoint usability and end-user adoption: the issue of SharePoint navigation across several site collections. As Dan discussed, navigating to these sites quickly and easily using the “out of the box” web browser functionality of SharePoint can be problematic for end-users, but fortunately, we have a great solution.

Even though 2011 is a mid-release year for SharePoint, it certainly didn’t dampen the enthusiasm at the SharePoint Conference in Anaheim. With another sell-out, SPC 2011 showcased how SharePoint has matured into the collaboration, ECM, and records management platform of choice for organizations worldwide, and highlighted the robustness of the SharePoint eco-system.

Colligo is increasingly working with companies and organizations on their email and records management strategies particularly as SharePoint 2010 and Exchange 2010 upgrades are being undertaken worldwide. As organizations look to adopt SharePoint 2010 for enterprise records management, there has been considerable discussion around the use of Exchange Managed Folders and their suitability for storing email in records management scenarios.

We are really excited to announce Microsoft Office 365 support for our award-winning Colligo Contributor product suite. Microsoft Office 365 is generating a huge amount of buzz in the industry and Microsoft is dedicating a lot of resources to ensure its success in the marketplace.
